Unit B (Gallery) proudly presents Re-enchant the Moment on view at Unit B November 15, 2013 – January 4, 2014. Curated by Mark Ponder (Houston, TX) the group show features work by Jonathan Armistead (Pittsburg, PA), Debra Barrera (Houston, TX), and Chuck and George (Dallas, TX)
Everyday objects and spaces can be imbued with a certain magic to transform their original power. In the hands of the three exhibiting artists, food become mirages, golf clubs are fetishized, and a home become a funhouse. Their process shares the act of endowing a new energy onto existing narratives, and their work reveals how each can make meaning fluctuate.
